Band of the Week: St Vincent Pt. 2

Clark began her first solo record in 2006, recording under the name St Vincent, a reference to where Dylan Thomas died. This resulted in Marry Me,  a complex and dark album featuring complex guitar parts, keys and horns. Many songs stand out like the dark horns of “Paris is Burning” or the strange sounding “Jesus Saves I Spend”.

But the song that stood out to me the most was “Your Lips Are Red”, especially this live performance from Austin City Limits:
